
Rox Vs. Worcester Postponed Due to Rain

(Worcester, Mass. - August 9, 2011) - Steady rainfall over Hanover Insurance Park at Fitton Field forced the Brockton Rox (15-6, 41-26) and the Worcester Tornadoes (15-5, 36-31) to postpone the opener of a three game set Tuesday night.
The teams will play the first two games of the series as part of a doubleheader consisting of two seven-inning games on Wednesday night. The first game will begin at 5:05 p.m. with the second contest set to start 20 minutes after game one concludes.
Mike Smith (8-4, 3.83) will toe the rubber for the Rox in game one, followed by Jake Loye (2-4, 4.44) taking the hill in game two.
