New Jersey 9, Quebec 7

Quebec scored four runs in the bottom of the eighth to tie the score at seven runs apiece. But New Jersey answered with two in the the next half inning to take a 9-7 win. Jackals LF Jordan Newton went 2-for-4 and hit a two-run homer in the contest. Newton's blast came in New Jersey's three-run eighth and put the team up, 7-3, before the Capitales' four-run frame. Quebec leadoff CF Goefrey Tomlinson pushed across two of those four runs to highlight his 2-for-5 night. The go-ahead run came to the plate for Quebec in the bottom of the ninth inning, but 2B Josh Colafemina grounded into a fielder's choice to end the game with New Jersey still on top.

The doubleheader between New York and Pittsfield has been postponed due to rain. It will be made up Wednesday at 5 p.m.
