Rox Swept in Series Finale

Grand Junction Jackalopes News Release
The bats went cold for the Rockies on Wednesday as they dropped game three of their series with Ogden 3-1 at Lindquist Field.
In a game with just six total hits, Ogden scored exclusively via the long ball and opened the scoring in the third on a two-strike, two-out solo home run from Brandon Wulff and then made it 3-0 on a two-run blast from Jon Littell in the fourth.
Grand Junction had their best opportunity to manufacture a run in the top of the fourth when Christian Koss and Colin Simpson drew walks against starter Jeronimo Castro to begin the inning but after Yolki Pena struck out on a bunt attempt, Koss was thrown out after getting caught between second and third. Walking Cabrera followed Pena with a strikeout to end the inning.
The Rockies ended the shutout in the ninth with a solo homer off from Koss but one was all they would get as Hunter Speer picked up his third save of the season.
Despite a quality start, Anderson Amarista was pegged with the loss after allowing all three Ogden runs in 5.1 innings while striking out five.
For the Raptors, it was Edward Cuello who earned the win with 2.1 scoreless innings after Castro struck out ten in 4.2 shutout frames.
With the conclusion of the six-game road trip, GJ travels home for an eight-game homestand that begins with Alex Haynes toeing the rubber against Rocky Mountain in game one of a three-game series.
