Rox Selling Playoff Tickets Despite Not Clinching Berth

August 3, 2014 - Futures Collegiate Baseball League (FCBL)
Brockton Rox News Release

Brockton is the "City of Champions", but new Rox owner Chris English may have taken the name too literally. English and the Brockton Rox are selling playoff tickets, but there is one problem: they have not even made the playoffs yet!

"Our models project our playoff odds at 94.5 percent," said English. "I have talked to Coach Stark and he agrees that the Rox are guaranteed to make the playoffs."

Rox manager Bryan Stark has also vowed to shave his head if the Rox do not make the playoffs. Stark and English are clearly united in their cocky mindset and the Rox will now face added pressure to finish strong down the stretch.

But despite the display of what some would call confidence and others would call arrogance, tickets are now on sale. Playoff tickets will be handled in a "flex" fashion, due to the structure of the playoff system and not knowing dates of home games at this time. This means that you can purchase a ticket which will be redeemable for any Rox home playoff game. Also, any unused "flex" playoff game tickets can be redeemed for a credit during the 2015 season.

Tickets, ranging from $5-$12, are available online at www.brocktonrox.com, can be ordered by phone at (508) 559-7000, or at the Campanelli Stadium ticket office. Group pricing is also available for 20 or more tickets. Questions can also be sent in by email to: roxfun@brocktonrox.com.
