
Suns Bats Stay Cold; Lose to Bravehearts 7-3

The Pittsfield Suns loss 7-3 to the Worcester Bravehearts Sunday afternoon at Wahconah Park. The loss marks their sixth straight as they struggle to find some offensive power.
Worcester was on the board early, plating two runs in the first inning. Back to back singles and a Suns error would plate two after another single from Dylan Harris, to give the Bravehearts an early 2-0 advantage.
Subsequent runs would score in the third, fifth and ninth innings, totaling seven runs for Worcester.
The Suns managed to score two runs in the fourth, and one run in the sixth inning, highlighted by a solo homerun by Dan Palazzo.
Kyle Slinger went six innings giving up five hits and three runs while recording his fourth win of the season. Pittsfield's Mitch Holt gave up 10 hits, four earned runs, one walk while striking out three in the loss.
The Suns begin the final three-game homestand Wednesday at 7 PM when they take on the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs. It's Adult Jersey Giveaway Night on Wednesday and the first 500 fans 14 and older will receive a replica Suns jersey, sponsored by Haddad Auto Group.
