St. Cloud, MN - St. Cloud (10-1) responded to Friday's first loss of the season with a 10-5 win over Duluth (8-4) to get back on track and split the series.

The Rox bats wasted no time, scoring in each of the first five innings of Saturday's contest. Josh Cowden (BYU) had hits and RBI's in each of the first two frames including a double to stretch out the Rox lead in the second inning.

Charlie Condon (Georgia) also drove in two runs to help the Rox pull away. Condon smashed a double into the left-center gap to tie the game in the third inning and brought in a run on an infield single in the fourth.

John Nett (St. Cloud State) also had another strong day at the top of the lineup. Nett reached base four times, including two hits and scored three runs in the first four innings of the game.

On the mound, Matt McClure (Loyola-Marymount) got the start for the first time this season. McClure weathered the storm early on and finished with five solid innings, allowing just one earned run on five hits.

Rafael Acosta (Georgia State) followed up with three shutout innings on the bump, not allowing a single hit to the Huskies. His Georgia State teammate, Chad Treadway, followed him in the ninth and secured the Rox tenth win of the season.
