
Rox Clinch Playoff Spot Despite Rainout

Brockton Rox News Release
Augusta, N.J. -- The Rox game against the Sussex Skyhawks on Wednesday evening was rained out. Because the two teams do not meet again this season, the game has been canceled.
However, with the New Jersey Jackals' 14-7 loss at Pittsfield on Wednesday, the Rox have qualified for the 2010 Can-Am League playoffs.
First-round playoff dates (Games 1 and 2 will be at one site, and games 3, 4, and 5 will be at the other).

Saturday, September 11 - if necessary
Sunday, September 12 - if necessary
It is not yet known what seed (2 through 4) the Rox will receive. By virtue of winning the first half, the Quebec Capitales have also qualified for a playoff spot.

Season ticket holders will have playoff tickets available once dates and times are determined. Vouchers good for any playoff game are available for purchase now through the box office or by phone at (508) 559-7070; they can be exchanged for assigned seats once dates and times are determined.
The Rox start a four-game series at Worcester on Thursday evening at 7:05 p.m. Wayne Lundgren (7-6) throws for Brockton in the opener.
