St. Cloud Rox News Release
The St Cloud Rox were swept by the Duluth Huskies in a doubleheader on Monday night at Joe Faber Field in St. Cloud. The Huskies won game one 14-4 then won game two 7-6 in extra innings.
The Rox were led at the plate by Andy Henkemeyer (Minnesota), who was 4-7 with three runs and four runs batted in over the two games. Carlos Lopez (Cal State Fullerton) had a pair of RBI in game one.
There are three games remaining in the first half of the 2012 Northwoods League season. The slates are wiped clean and a new half offers the opportunity for the Rox to qualify for the playoffs as division winners to face first half champions Mankato.
Fireworks are planned following Tuesday night's game against Duluth. On Wednesday the Rox will play a matinee in honor of July 4th and fans who wear red, white and blue can purchase a $6 general admission ticket for $3. Thursday the Rox hit the road for a game with the Beetles and Friday return home for Fireworks Friday on July 6th.
