
Rox beat Grays in 10, 8-7

BROCKTON - The Brockton Rox (9-9) overcame a five-run deficit to defeat the Can-Am Grays (9-9) in ten innings, 8-7.
The Grays took a 2-0 lead in the first inning when Francisco Lebron hit a two-run home run off Rox starter Brad Guy.
The Rox got a run back in the bottom of the first when Hector Henriquez doubled home Kris Zacuto making it, 2-1.
In the fourth, BJ Weed doubled home Garcia and Strickland to make it, 4-1. The Rox answered when Al Roach tripled and scored on Matt Cucurullo's groundout making it 4-2.
The Grays extended the lead in the seventh. Brad Hargraves scored Lebron on a bases loaded single. Jason Startari followed with a bases loaded single to score Willie King, and Larry Best scored when Alex Garcia grounded into a double play. Heading into the bottom of the seventh the Grays led 7-2.
In the bottom of the seventh, Hector Henriquez singled and scored on Jake Daubert's sacrifice fly. Craig Lewis then plated Matt Cucurullo to make it 7-4.
Saul Bustos tied the game in the bottom of the ninth with a three-run home run. In the bottom of the tenth, Matt Cucurullo singled home Al Roach to give the Rox an 8-7 win.
Joey Cole (3-1) got the win for the Rox. Lenny Carter (0-1) picked up the loss for the Grays. The teams will meet in the second game of the series Tuesday night at 7:05 p.m.
