ST. PETERSBURG, Fla - Tampa Bay Rowdies Forward Woobens Pacius has been called up by the Haitian National Team for a pair of 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifying matches in October, marking the 24-year-old attacker's first international call-up.

Haiti is set to face Nicaragua on Thursday, October 9 and Honduras on Monday, October 13 in the next round of Concacaf qualifying matches for next summer's World Cup. Pacius will miss Tampa Bay's October 11 matchup against Rhode Island FC while away with the national team.

Born in Canada, Pacius is eligible to represent Haiti through his parents, both of whom emigrated from Haiti to Montreal.

"I'm really proud," said Pacius. "It's a big achievement in my career. When you're a kid, you always dream about playing in these international games, especially for the big tournaments. It's always something that you have in mind, but it's all about what you do in training and the matches that matter. Both my parents are from Haiti, so I grew up in a Haitian household. To be able to represent our family's roots is special. I know that my parents are really happy to see me play for Haiti."

Pacius joined the Rowdies on loan from Major League Soccer's Nashville SC ahead of the 2025 USL Championship season. He currently leads the squad with 10 goals in the regular season and 13 total goals across all competitions. It's the third time in his career that Pacius has registered double digit goals in a single season.

Among Haiti's squad for the upcoming qualifiers is Fafa Picault, an MLS veteran attacker who began his professional career with the Rowdies as a member of the club's 2012 championship squad.

"This is fantastic for Woobens on an individual level," said Rowdies Head Coach Dominic Casciato. "We're all really proud of him and really happy for him. I think he deserves it. It's also a testament to the progress we've made as a group over a short period of time. When the team does well and starts to pick up results, the team gets momentum and players within the team start to get individual accolades as well. So, we're looking for more of that."
