Round Rock Express Announces 2014 Home Schedule

ROUND ROCK, Texas - The Round Rock Express announced its 2014 Pacific Coast League home schedule Monday as the team prepares to celebrate its 15th anniversary at Dell Diamond.
2014 marks a change in the PCL's divisional alignment, with the Express's American Conference Southern Division foes now including the New Orleans Zephyrs (Miami Marlins Triple-A affiliate), Memphis Redbirds (St. Louis Cardinals), and Nashville Sounds (Milwaukee Brewers).
Round Rock will open the season at home with an eight-game homestand featuring a four-game series against both the Oklahoma City RedHawks (Houston Astros Triple-A affiliate) and the Colorado Springs Sky Sox (Colorado Rockies). The Express will play their first division rival at Dell Diamond April 24-27 when they welcome Memphis to town.
With the annual PCL home-away rotation of series against the Pacific Conference, the Express will welcome Sacramento (Oakland), Fresno (San Francisco), Reno (Arizona) and Tacoma (Seattle) to Round Rock. This will be the first trip to Dell Diamond for both Sacramento and Fresno since 2012. Round Rock will pay a visit to the newest franchise in El Paso (San Diego Padres) during the season, but fans will have to wait until 2015 to see their west Texas rival at home. Other away games will be announced later this fall.
The Express' home slate features four four-game homestands, six eight-game homestands and one seven-game homestand to kick off the Express' annual Fourth of July celebration. The six-month home schedule includes 10 weekend series and 11 Friday night games with post-game firework celebrations. The regular season concludes over Labor Day Weekend, August 28 - September 1 when Round Rock hosts Nashville for five games in what could be a final challenge for the post-season.
