The Express are 7-3 in their last 10 games after splitting a four-game series at Nashville. The Bees are 8-2 in their last 10 games after sweeping a four-game series against Tucson. Round Rock is 34-22 at The Dell Diamond, while Salt Lake is 26-30 on the road.

LAST NIGHT'S GAMES

Frankie De La Cruz tossed 7.2 scoreless innings as the Nashville Sounds blanked the Express 7-0 at Herschel Greer Stadium. Round Rock was shutout for the first time since being blanked in consecutive games June 16-17. Cruz scattered six hits and two walks with seven strikeouts. Four Express batters managed hits - Nick Green (two), Guilder Rodriguez (two), Joey Butler (one) and Matt Kata (one). The Express committed four errors, their most since a four error game June 28 in a 12-9 victory over Oklahoma City.

NASHVILLE SERIES RECAP

Round Rock split a four-game series in the Music City. Nashville won the series opener 3-2, but the Express rebounded for wins of 8-4 and 9-4 the next two nights, respectively. Matt Kata was the only Express player to hit safely in all four games, going 5-for-15 on the series. Esteban German was 5-for-5 in Sunday's 8-4 win. Round Rock concluded its season series against Nashville, winning 11 of 16 meetings.

ROUND ROCK AMONG TOP PCL TEAMS

The Express (65-46, .586) own the PCL's second-best record behind Sacramento (68-43, .613). The Express are three-and-a-half games ahead of Omaha (61-49, .555) in the overall American Conference standings. Only six of 16 PCL teams are above .500.

DIVISION STANDINGS UPDATE

Round Rock (65-46, .586) leads Albuquerque (57-54, .514) by eight games in the American Southern Division. While the Express lost 7-0 last night at Nashville, the Isotopes won 6-4 at New Orleans. Only twice in the last 14 games have Round Rock and Albuquerque had the same result. Round Rock is 28-15 since June 18, during which time Albuquerque is 18-25. The Express have at least shared the division lead following 89 of 111 games this season and have led the division outright since June 25. New Orleans (55-56, .495) trails Round Rock by 10 games, while Oklahoma City (48-63, .432) is 17 games back.

JONES APPROACHING MILESTONE

Express manager Bobby Jones enters tonight's game with 1,494 career managerial wins - all of which have come in the Texas Rangers organization. His tally includes stints with Class-A Charlotte (1988-1990), Double-A Tulsa (1991-1992, 1996-2000), Triple-A Oklahoma City (1993-1994, 2002-2010) and Round Rock. Jones' most successful season at the Triple-A level was 2004 when he led Oklahoma City to 81 wins and the PCL American Southern Division title. He owns 12 division titles and guided the 1998 Tulsa squad to a Texas League championship.
