Padres Finally Swept

The Tucson Padres have been swept for the first time this season. The Padres fell 8-4 Tuesday night and lost all four games of the series against the Salt Lake Bees. The Padres won just four of 16 meetings against the Angels Triple-A affiliate this season.

Anthony Rizzo had all four RBIs for the Padres Tuesday, hitting two sacrifice flies to go along with a two run home run. The Padres had a 3-2 lead in the fourth when Salt Lake scored six times in a nine batter inning. The Bees had four hits in the rally, including a two run home run by Hank Conger. Salt Lake used just two pitchers in the game - Trevor Bell, who pitched six innings and allowed three runs, and Ryan Ketchner who picked up a three-inning save.

Tucson's bullpen was strong in the loss, with Joe Thatcher, Pat Neshek and Brad Brach pitching a scoreless inning each.
