TONIGHT'S GAME

The Round Rock Express plays its first home game of the 2010 season tonight, opening a four-game series against the New Orleans Zephyrs (Florida Marlins). First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. CDT at The Dell Diamond. This is the fifth of 16 scheduled meetings between the teams this season. The Zephyrs won three of four against the Express in New Orleans last weekend.

ON THE AIR

Express games are broadcast live on "The Horn" 104.9 FM ESPN Austin. Pregame starts at 15 minutes prior to first pitch with veteran Express play-by-play man Mike Capps on the call. Live streaming audio of the broadcast also is available online at www.ESPNAustin.com. ... Home games will be simulcast on 92.5 FM until further notice. Weekday games starting prior to 7 p.m. CDT will be broadcast on 1530 AM with no online audio. Weekday games starting at 6 p.m. will begin on 1530 AM and jump to 104.9 FM at 7 p.m.

Zephyrs LHP Hunter Jones

First year with Florida Marlins organization, sixth year in professional baseball ... Signed by Boston Red Sox as an amateur free agent in 2005 ... Made Major League debut April 20, 2009, against Baltimore Orioles; pitched 1.0 scoreless inning in relief ... Appeared in 11 games, working 12.2 innings, for Red Sox last season ... Traded from Red Sox to Marlins on Nov. 5, 2009 ... Started but did not factor in decision against Round Rock (4/11), allowing one unearned run on one hit and five walks with three strikeouts over 5.0 innings.

BERKMAN HEADED TO ROUND ROCK

Five-time All-Star Lance Berkman will join the Round Rock Express for a rehab assignment this weekend, the Astros announced Friday. Berkman is expected to play with the Express for Saturday's 7:05 p.m. CDT game and Sunday's 2:05 p.m. game, both against the New Orleans Zephyrs. Berkman, who underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee March 13, worked out Friday in Houston and was examined following the workout by Dr. David Lintner. Berkman remained in Houston this week to continue treatment and work on baseball skills to tolerance with physical therapist Matt Holland at The Methodist Hospital. Houston's first-round draft pick out of Rice University in 1997, Berkman played in parts of four seasons (1998-2000, 2005) with New Orleans while the Zephyrs were the Astros' Triple-A affiliate.
