RoughRiders Recognized as one of the "Best Places to Work"
August 26, 2009 - Texas League (TL1)
Frisco RoughRiders News Release
FRISCO, TX - The Frisco RoughRiders have been named one of the "2009 Best Places to Work in Dallas-Fort Worth" by the Dallas Business Journal. The RoughRiders were recognized under the category of a small business (10-99 North Texas employees).
The RoughRiders returned professional baseball to North Texas in 2003 as the Double-A minor league affiliate of the Texas Rangers and have established themselves as the top family entertainment destination in North Dallas and Collin County over the past seven years. In conjunction with that, the RoughRiders have made themselves into an integral part of the Collin County community.
"I am proud of our staff and the outstanding work they do," Frisco RoughRiders President Scott Sonju said. "Our philosophy is to âlove on' our staff and empower them to âlove on' our fans and marketing partners, and this has helped us be successful."
A luncheon will be held on Thursday, September 17 to recognize those companies earning the distinction of "Best Places to Work" and a Dallas Business Journal Best Places to Work Special Publication will be released on Friday, September 18. The luncheon will include an awards presentation and different networking games.
Winning companies are selected by the aggregate score of employee surveys as administered by the independent research firm Quantum Workplace. Companies that achieved best-practice scores were selected as the Dallas Business Journal's Best Places to Work. Best practice scores are determined by national industry standards and vary by company size: small companies (10 to 100 North Texas employees), survey score of 90 or higher; midsize companies (101 to 500 employees), survey score of 87 or higher; large companies (501 or more local employees), survey score of 85 or higher.
The RoughRiders begin the final homestand of the regular season on Saturday, August 29 with three games against Midland and four versus Corpus Christi. Great seats are still available, visit the ticket office at Dr Pepper Ballpark or call 972-731-9200 for tickets and more information.
