
RoughRiders Drop Game 1 of the Fall Classic

The RoughRiders kicked off their season at the annual USHL Fall Classic taking on the Lincoln Stars at the UPMC arena in Pittsburgh. In a tightly played first period, Lincoln faced the tough Bruveris in net for the RoughRiders inching one past him. The teams headed into the locker room with the Stars up 1-0. Coming out for the second period, both teams with a full head of steam, battled end to end with RoughRiders forward, Zaccharya Wisdom burying the RoughRiders first goal of the season. Assists on Wisdom's goal were from Connor Smith and Martins Lavins. Both teams scored in the second keeping the Stars up 2-1. The third period battle continued, but the Stars scored on a power play to go up 3-1, and closed the game with an empty net goal, with a final score of 4-1.
The RoughRiders will take on the Sioux Falls Stampede on September 23rd at 2pm CST-.
