
Roughnecks Sign 2006 Draft Pick

Calgary, AB - The Calgary Roughnecks today signed recent draft pick Luke Hinton to a one-year deal. The contract is subject to league approval.
The right-handed defender was the Riggers second pick (14th overall) in the 2006 National Lacrosse League entry draft.
"Luke is a great athlete with a lot of potential," said Roughnecks General Manager Kurt Silcott.
"He has already shown his commitment to this team and to his future in lacrosse by agreeing to move to Calgary where he can learn on a daily basis from such talented defenders as Devan Wray and Taylor Wray."
Silcott added, "We fully expect him to challenge strongly for a spot on the team."
Hinton, a native of Victoria, is 6ft. 2in. and weighs 220 lbs.
