
Roughnecks in Louisville Saturday

Saturday's game marks the first away match for the Roughnecks after opening the season with four straight home games. It is also the first-ever meeting between the two USL expansion franchises.
The Roughnecks picked up their first win in their last outing, a 4-3 come-from-behind victory over Seattle Sounders 2 thanks to second-half goals from Steven Miller and Lucas Cordeiro. At the time, it was the first loss of the season for the Sounders.
The match with Louisville begins a stretch of five straight away matches for Tulsa. After the meeting in Kentucky, the Roughnecks will travel to Arizona United SC, Los Angeles Galaxy II and Orange County Blues for three games in eight days. The five-game stretch will conclude with a trip to Texas to face the Austin Aztex.
The match will be the first of two meetings between Tulsa and Louisville this season. The two sides will meet again at ONEOK Field on August 15.
WATCH PARTY IN TULSA Lefty's on Greenwood is hosting the official watch party for the match with Louisville City FC with the game being shown live at 6:30PM. Lefty's is located on the corner of Greenwood and Archer, next to ONEOK Field. Adult drink specials will be offered, but Lefty's is also a family-friendly restaurant.
SHOTS FIRED Through their first four games, the Roughnecks are leading USL with an average of 16.75 shots per game. In the first three matches, the shots did not result in goals as Tulsa was limited to only one before netting four goals against Seattle. Gibson Bardsley leads the Roughnecks with 12 total shots, while Sammy Ochoa has taken 11.
PUTTING IN THE TIME Goalkeeper/Captain Zac Lubin is one of only two players for the Roughnecks who have played every minute of the first four matches. Defender Ryan Price has also played the full 360 minutes.
THE COACHES Tulsa head coach David Irving was a player for the original Roughnecks in the old North America Soccer League. Irving scored three goals in seven appearances for Tulsa during the 1980 NASL season. His professional playing career also included stints with Everton FC and Sheffield United in England.
James O'Connor leads Louisville. O'Connor played for Orlando City in USL prior to taking over coaching duties in Louisville. As a player, he also spent time with English sides Stoke City, West Bromwich Albion, Burnley and Sheffield Wednesday.
CHECKING THE STATS The Roughnecks have scored five goals this campaign with five different players getting on the scoreboard. The goal scorers include Brady Ballew, Bardsley, Eli Galbraith-Knapp, Steven Miller and Cordeiro.
The Roughnecks drew a total attendance of 20,762 for their four home matches at ONEOK Field, an average of 5,190 per game.
