
Rosters Announced for 5th-Annual Orientation Camp May 17-19

Flint, Mich. - The Flint Firebirds Hockey Club announced the rosters for the 5th Annual Orientation Camp to be held next weekend, May 17-19 at Iceland Arenas on Elms Rd. in Clayton Township.
Over the course of the weekend, the Firebirds will welcome 30 prospects to Flint for fitness testing, three on-ice sessions and tours of the Dort Federal Event Center and Flint and Genesee County. Along with six current Firebirds, there will be Firebirds' draft prospects from the 2018 and 2019 OHL Priority Selections and 2019 U-18 Priority Selection as well as free agent invites in attendance. There will be two teams of nine forwards, six defenseman and two goaltenders. Both teams will practice Saturday morning before playing each other once on Saturday and once on Sunday morning.
The Firebirds are inviting fans to the annual tailgate party and 'Blue vs. White Game' Saturday, May 18 from 2-6 p.m. There will be music, complimentary hot dogs and beverages. The event is open to the public and will happen rain or shine.
Immediately following the game, fans can meet and greet current Firebirds Michael Bianconi, Tyler Deline, Jake Durham, Marcus Gretz, Ethan Keppen, Connor Roberts and Evan Vierling as well as 2019 first-round draft pick Brennan Othmann, Vice President of Hockey Operations & General Manager Barclay Branch, Head Coach Eric Wellwood and all of the Firebirds' OHL draft and free agent prospects.

Friday, May 17th:
3:00pm - Players Report to Dort Federal Event Center
3:15pm- Headshots & Family Photos
5:00pm - Medicals / Equipment / Testing
6:00pm - Equipment staff loads & transports player's equipment to Iceland Arenas
Saturday, May 18th:
9:15am - Skills Practice & Goalie Session (Iceland Arenas)
2:00pm - Firebirds Tailgate Party & BBQ (Iceland Arenas)
3:30pm - Blue vs. White Game (Iceland Arenas)
5:00pm - Meet & Greet with Players & Staff (Iceland Arenas)
Sunday, May 19th:
9:30am - Team White vs. Team Blue (Iceland Arenas)
