Roster Moves: Snow Returns from AAA Tacoma, Hernandez Placed on DL

PEARL, MISS. - The Seattle Mariners have announced the following roster moves that affect the Generals roster. RHP Forrest Snow has been transferred from AAA Tacoma to Jackson and RHP Moises Hernandez has been placed on the disabled list. The moves are made prior to tonight's 7:00 p.m. game at the Mississippi Braves.

Snow, 25, returns to Jackson after making 2 appearances, 1 start for AAA Tacoma. Snow was 0-1, with a 1.50 ERA (1ER/6.0IP) for the Rainiers while striking out 6 and walking none. In 2 starts for Jackson this season Snow is 0-1, with a 6.10 ERA (7ER/10.1IP) adding 6 strikeouts and 4 walks. Snow was activated on May 31 following a 50-game suspension after a second positive test for a drug of abuse in violation of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program. Snow was Seattle's 36th round draft pick in 2010 out of the University of Washington.

Hernandez, 30, in 15 games this season is 0-4, with a 6.19 ERA (22ER/32.0IP) while striking out 18 and walking 9 this season for the Generals. Hernandez surrendered 2 runs last night in 1.1 IP during Jackson's 9-4 loss to the Braves. He is the older brother of Mariners ace Felix Hernandez and was signed as a free agent by the Mariners in 2011.
