Rome, GA - The Rome Braves announce that right handed pitcher Nicholas Tisone has been placed on the disabled list. Tisone appeared in three games and is 0-2 with a 7.88 ERA since joining the club on May 22nd. Pedro Rayo, a right-hander, joins the team from extended spring training in Orlando. Last season Rayo split time with the Gulf Coast League Braves and Myrtle Beach Pelicans of the Carolina League.
The Braves begin a four game road trip tonight in Savannah beginning at 7:05pm. Currently the Braves lead the Southern Division of the South Atlantic League by 7.5 games over the Augusta GreenJackets. Rome returns to State Mutual Stadium on Monday June 5th for a five game series against Augusta. Wednesday June 7th is a doubleheader beginning at 1pm with all other games starting at 7pm.
