July 6, 2015 - Northwoods League (Northwoods)
St. Cloud Rox News Release
Eau Claire, WI--- St. Cloud continued on their current tear, taking game number two against the Express by a final score of 13-0.
From the start, it was all Rox as Webb Bobo (SE Louisiana) got things going for St. Cloud with a 2-run blast in the top of the second inning. Liam Bedford (Doane College) kept the big inning going with an RBI single to bring in Jake Farr (Tennessee Tech) and Kyle Serrano (Colorado Mesa) to push the Rox lead to 4-0.
Four runs was more than enough for Sheldon Miks, who was dominant from the get-go, going 6 innings allowing just 3 hits while striking out 5. Miks controlled the strike zone, and kept the Express batters guessing all night with his dominant change-up.
The offense continued in the 4th inning, when John Sansone (Florida St.) and Lee Miller (Davidson) hit back-to-back RBI singles to score 2 more and the Rox took a 6-0 lead into the 5th.
Even up six, the Rox continued to pour it on the Express, as Bobo added an RBI double in the 6th to score two more.
Bobo wasn't finished, launching his second homer of the game to deep right field in the 8th inning to push the Rox lead to 12-0.
Bobo finished the game 3-5 with 5 RBI's including 2 HR's and a double to pace the Rox offense.
Tonight's SC Times player of the game was Webb Bobo. Bobo went 3-5 on the night with 5 RBI's. For more Rox coverage, visit www.sctimes.com
