
Rojas Promoted to Double-A

Lynchburg Hillcats News Release
The Cincinnati Reds announced the promotion of Hillcats shortstop Miguel Rojas from Advanced-A Lynchburg to Double-A Carolina. In a corresponding roster move, shortstop DiDi Gregorius was promoted from Low-A Dayton to Advanced-A Lynchburg.
Rojas ended his time in Lynchburg hitting .230 in 74 games with the Hillcats. He was tied for the team lead in sacrifice hits (8), and second in stolen bases (12). He came into the season as Baseball America's 17thBest Prospect in the Cincinnati Reds Organization, and the Best Defensive Shortstop.
Rojas went on the disabled list with a wrist injury June 21 and missed the all of July and the first half of August before returning to Lynchburg August 17. This will be his second stint with the Mudcats, after appearing in one game August 25.
Gregorius comes to Lynchburg after sending most of the season with Low-A Dayton. In 120 games, he hit .273 with five home runs and 41 RBI. He stole 16 bases. Over his last eight games with the Dragons he was hitting .400 (14-for-35). He was Baseball America's 15th Rated Prospect in the Reds Organization and was signed as a non-drafted free agent in August of 2007.
