Wichita Thunder News Release
Wichita, KS (Oct. 28th) - The Wichita Thunder, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Edmonton Oilers, AHL's Bakersfield Condors and powered by Toyota, are excited to announce that former Thunder forward Jack Rodewald made his NHL debut last night with the NHL's Ottawa Senators.
Rodewald becomes the third player in franchise history to reach the NHL and the first player to start at the ECHL level and work his way up.
The 23-year old native of Winnipeg, Manitoba appeared in six games last season, registering eight points (5g, 3a). He was loaned to the American Hockey League's Binghamton Senators on November 10th and took advantage of his opportunity. The Thunder hits the road for the first time this season to take on the Tulsa Oilers on Wednesday night in the StoneWolf Casino Cup Series.
