Chicago Rockstars News Release
Chicago, IL. The ABA Chicago Rockstars had quite the media exposure on Wednesday. First, the day started with an interview on a popular Chicago radio station, WPWX-FM/Power 92.3FM). Morning show host Trey "the Choklit Jock" who will be the Rockstars' 13th man at their Nov 10 game, interviewed owner and Chicago Rush player Marques Sullivan and Rockstars player Marcus Liberty. "It is a great show, very funny but informative, "said Sullivan. "I told the radio I wanted to go out on my terms this time," Liberty added, "I want to show everyone I can still play at a high level."
Morning Chicago Tribune readers also got an introduction to the team by opening to the sports section and seeing a 3/4 article about the team in the popular paper. "My phone was ringing off the hook this morning," said head coach Kenny Williams.
Next it was onto the Chicago Rockstars official press conference held at Northeastern Illinois University's Physical Education Building. "We want to provide the students of the university and the city of Chicago with fun, fan-friendly and affordable basketball and entertainment," said Sullvan. Comcast Sports Network was present and taped the entire press conference. A segment of Sportsnite, a popular Comcast Sports Net show informed the public about the Chicago Rockstars press conference and showed video clips taken from earlier in the day.
The Chicago Rockstars continue their tour of Chicago's media outlets on Friday as they will appear on Chicago's ABC Morning Show. For more exciting Rockstars news, visit www.rockstarsbasketball.com or www.abalive.com.
