Bellingham Slam News Release
Bellingham, Wash. - The American Basketball Association's Bellingham Slam have announced that an agreement has been reached to continue a sponsorship with Las Vegas-based Allegiant Air for the team's second season. Allegiant Air was the team's first national sponsor during its inaugural season in 2005, and the new agreement reached between the two groups last week will allow Slam fans to enjoy and participate in exciting Allegiant Air-sponsored contests all season long. At every home game this season, lucky fans will have the chance to win round-trip airfare to Las Vegas courtesy of Allegiant Air.
Since 2004, Allegiant Air has been serving Bellingham and Whatcom County with the area's only non-stop jet service to Las Vegas. Allegiant Air has also partnered with world-class hotels in Las Vegas to provide affordable, complete vacation packages. And starting in January, Allegiant Air will begin seasonal non-stop jet service from Bellingham to Palm Springs. To help celebrate the new destination for Whatcom County travelers, Allegiant Air is offering introductory $49 fares each way.
Allegiant Air, LLC is an all-jet, low-fare, low-cost passenger airline dedicated to providing a new way to fly. At Allegiant, all travel is ticketless, all fares are one-way and a Saturday night stay is never required. With a focus on leisure travel, the company emphasizes low-costs, innovation and leisure traffic to world-class destinations - currently Las Vegas, Nev. and Orlando, Fla. The company provides its customers additional value through its Allegiant Vacations division, which maintains significant hotel partnerships in both Las Vegas and Orlando. Allegiant currently provides nonstop scheduled service from 24 U.S. markets to the Las Vegas destination and to the Orlando destination from 15 U.S. markets. In addition to its scheduled service, the airline also operates charter service throughout the U.S., Mexico and Canada. The carrier's charter customers include Harrah's Entertainment, U.S. Forest Service, collegiate athletic organizations, film production companies and corporations. Allegiant's fleet includes 25 MD-80 series jet aircraft, all fitted with comfortable leather seats and spacious overhead luggage bins. Headquartered in Las Vegas, Nev., Allegiant is a privately owned airline founded in 1997.
