Rockland Boulders Welcome Cheapskates
August 12, 2013 - Canadian American League (Can-Am)
New York Boulders News Release
(Ramapo, NY) - The Rockland Boulders are inviting all cheapskates to get a ride from a friend or take the bus to Provident Bank Park on Monday, August 26th when they host their rival New Jersey Jackals for the best deal in the history of minor league baseball. In today's economy, cheap is chic so the Boulders will be throwing out a soiled indoor-outdoor welcome mat for stingy fans of America's Pastime.
Cheapskates will only pay for as long as they want to stay. Thus, if a cheapskate is willing to dig deep into his or her pocket because they want to watch all nine innings then they would pay nine dollars, which is a savings of nearly 44% for the best seats in the house. If they are only willing to watch eight innings then they would be on the hook for eight dollars etc, etc, etc. If they only wanted to watch the ninth inning, then they would only be charged a buck and guess what if there isn't a bottom of the ninth inning the Boulders will refund fifty cents.
"Minor league baseball has always promoted itself as affordable family entertainment and it doesn't get much more affordable then this", said Ken Lehner President of the Rockland Boulders. "If you consider yourself a penny-pincher, miser, scrooge, hoarder, pack rat, spendthrift, tightwad or just love the thrill of a deal.....any deal.....then Provident Bank Park is the place to be on Monday, August 26th."
In addition to the cheap tickets, cheapskates will be encouraged to "flip for their food." The price of hot dogs, Crackerjacks, peanuts and pretzels at the home plate concession stand will just be a buck if a cheapskate calls heads and the quarter lands on heads. "Freebies" will be in the lineup as well as Goose Island Craft Beer has anteed up and is going to give away free samples. In the middle of the 8th inning, the King and Queen of Cheap will be crowned with a Cheap Trick song blaring in the background resulting in the winning couple receiving a cheap date night that will likely include eating in their car out of Styrofoam containers.
Traditionally promotional nights are presented by a corporate partner after a series of negotiations that result in a win-win for both parties. In this instance, we encourage any and all potential corporate partners to contact Seth Cantor, Director of Corporate Sales, either via 845-364-0009 or scantor@rocklandboulders.com to make a lowball offer. If an interested company is not based in the 845 area code, please feel free to call collect.
