
Rockford Acquires Seabrook from Bridgeport

Rockford, Ill. - The American Hockey League's Rockford IceHogs announced Wednesday that they have acquired defenseman Keith Seabrook from the Bridgeport Sound Tigers for future considerations.
The 26-year-old has played 51 games for the ECHL's Stockton Thunder this season, leading the team in defenseman scoring with 27 points (7g-20a). Prior to his stint with Stockton, Seabrook played the 2012-13 season in Italy with Val Pusteria HC, picking up 18 points (8g-10a) in 18 games.
The 6-foot, 198-pound blueliner has played in 186-career AHL games with the Abbotsford Heat, Manitoba Moose and San Antonio Rampage, recording 82 points (18g-46a). A product of the BCHL, the NCAA and the WHL, Seabrook a second-round pick (No. 52 overall) by the Washington Capitals in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.
A native of Delta, British Columbia, Seabrook is the brother of Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Brent Seabrook.
Next Home Game: Friday, Mar. 6 vs. Oklahoma City at 7 p.m. The IceHogs complete their season series with the Barons as Oklahoma City returns to the BMO for Rockford Hockey Club Night. Rockford will be recognizing youth hockey in the community by wearing specialty Rockford Hockey Club sweaters during the game.
