The Kelowna Rockets will be in action on Tuesday and Wednesday night when they face the Prince George Cougars at the CN Centre.

The two didn't have to wait long to see each other again, they faced off on Saturday night at Prospera Place in their ninth meeting of the season. The Rockets matched their season-high for goals in a game with a 9-2 victory over the Cougars. Eight different players found the back of the net for Kelowna, with Andrew Cristall lighting the lamp twice. Talyn Boyko made 22 saves on 24 shots. Cristall, Scott Cousins and Pavel Novak all posted three-point nights.

The Rockets then faced the Victoria Royals on Saturday, shutting them out 5-0. The Cougars last played on Sunday, hosting the Kamloops Blazers where they fell 4-3 in overtime.

The Cougars fell out of a playoff spot over the weekend, with the Spokane Chiefs leapfrogging them for eighth in the Western Conference. You can find the standings below.

ROSTER NEWS

The Rockets have no injuries to report this week.

Cougars forward Blake Eastman is listed as out with a lower-body injury, time tbd.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Mark Liwiski's next game will be his 200th game, the 20-year-old has posted 50 goals and 41 assists over 199 games.

Talyn Boyko's next appearance in net will be his 100th game.

Defenceman Elias Carmichael posted back-to-back multi-point games over the weekend with a goal and an assist in both games.

With a goal and an assist, Cristall leapfrogged Nick Merkley for second place for the Rockets record of points by a 16-year-old rookie. Cristall has posted 59 points (24G, 35A) through 56 games this season, Shane McColgan holds the record with 69.
