
Rockets Alumni Weekend Over

The Kelowna Rockets Alumni weekend came to an end on Sunday night with a hockey game featuring many of the franchises best and most endearing players.
One thousand Rockets fans crammed into the Capital News Centre, selling out the game featuring Gavin's Gunners and Steamers Stallions.
And in the end it was Gav's Gunners that came out on top with a 9-5 victory. The game closed what was the 10th Annual Kelowna Rockets Alumni Weekend, which began on Thursday with a golf tournament at the Harvest Golf Course.
Many of the Rockets most memorable players were in attendance, from NHL players Shea Weber, Josh Gorges, Scott Hannan, Vern Fiddler and Tyler Myers to names from the past like Nolan Yonkman, Simon Ferguson, Tyler Spurgeon and Tyler Mosienko.
All proceeds from the weekend will be directed to the orthopedic ward at Kelowna General Hospital.
