
Rockers Fall to Dock Spiders in Tenth Game of Season Series

Ashwaubenon, WI. - The Rockers dropped Wednesday night's game at Capital Credit Union Park 10-3 to the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders. The matchup would give Fond du Lac the series split, but Green Bay still leads the season series at six wins to four.
Starting on the mound for the Rockers was Logan Lee (Middle Georgia State). Lee returns to Green Bay for his fourth season with the team, but his first year under the Rockers' name. He ran into trouble early, allowing five earned runs.
Scoring in this ball game opened with a five-run second inning for the Dock Spiders. Visiting shortstop Drew Barragan (Embry-Riddle) hit a three-run homer in the frame.
After four more runs would come in to score for Fond du Lac, Green Bay would get on the board. Catcher Carlos Hernandez (Anderson) launched a two-run homer to right field. His deep drive in the fourth inning would be his sixth home run of the season, giving him his 30th and 31st RBIs of the campaign.
Fond du Lac would get one more run in the sixth inning before the Rockers scored the final run of the ball game. Third baseman Jayson Jones (Arkansas) hit an RBI sac fly to score second baseman Zane Zielinski (Illinois-Chicago). The game would end by the same score of 10-3.
Heavy winds and rain passed through the area throughout the course of the night. The teams went into a brief rain delay in the seventh inning due to rain, but they would resume play five minutes later.
Despite the loss, Green Bay was only outhit by one as the team totaled seven base knocks throughout the night. Three would come off the bat of Hernandez while Jones, Zielinski, Kendal Ewell (Illinois-Chicago), and Mateo Matthews (Wagner College) all had one of their own.
Green Bay would turn to seven different arms throughout the game. Quinn Falish (Michigan State), Ty Thurman (Colorado State-Pueblo), and Connor Nolen (Caroll) made their first appearances for the team this season.
With the loss, the Rockers are now 13-13 in the league's second half. They remain in the hunt for first place as they remain just two games out of first place.
Up next for the Rockers is four straight games against the Lakeshore Chinooks. They'll play the first two games at Kapco Park in Mequon, Wisconsin before returning home.
