
Rockers Earn Series Split in Wausau

Wausau, Wis. - The Green Bay Rockers defeat the Wausau Woodchucks, 1-0, in a nailbiter at Athletic Park.
The only scoring of the game came in the fourth. Keniel de Leon drew a one out walk then advanced to second on a Matt Scannell single. In his Rockers debut, Collier Cranford doubled home de Leon.
Cranford reached base three times in Wednesday's game. He hit an infield single in the second, the aforementioned RBI double in the fourth and drew a walk in the seventh. Overall, he was 2-for-3 on the night.
The Woodchucks left the bases loaded in the sixth. With two outs, Rockers starter Will Semb got Camden Janik to pop up to center fielder Brendan Ryan.
Semb threw very well in his third start of the season. He wound up throwing seven shutout innings and allowed six hits and three walks. He fanned four and notched his first win of the season.
Bryce Crabb, in his first relief outing of 2022, threw two shutout frames. He didn't walk a batter and struck out two.
Green Bay will turn the page to Thursday. They host the Lakeshore Chinooks in a doubleheader. Game 1 is set for 12:05 p.m., and Rashad Ruff is the probable starter. Game 2 of the twinbill will begin at 6:35, and Justin Loer is the Rockers' probable.
