Rock Trade Kim Squire
February 10, 2004 - National Lacrosse League (NLL)
Toronto Rock News Release
Toronto, ON â The Toronto Rock have traded veteran forward Kim Squire to the Rochester Knighthawks for a conditional second round draft pick in the 2004 Entry Draft and a player to be named later.
"Kim Squire was an integral part of four Toronto Rock NLL Championships and we wish him the best of luck and success in Rochester. With the injury to John Grant, Kim will get an opportunity to step into Rochester's line-up. In the off-season we made transactions to strengthen the depth of our offensive left side, leaving Squire expendable. Prior to the start of the regular season, Kim was placed on the hold out list for reasons that have been well documented. We feel it is in the best interest of the Toronto Rock and Kim Squire to part ways. We would like to thank Kim for his outstanding contributions to the success of our club." Derek Keenan, Toronto Rock Interim General Manager.
Kim spent 5 seasons with the Rock, playing in 49 regular season games. He accumulated 136 points on 86 goals and 77 assists. Squire scooped 199 looseballs and served 109 minutes in penalties.
