Hot Leafs
Alexei Ponikarovsky (C): Alexei Ponikarovsky had a three game point scoring streak (3-3=6) snapped last game at Binghamton. Ponikarovsky is 4th in team scoring with 35 points (17G,18A) in 48 games this season.
Jamie Hodson (G): Hodson recorded two wins in two starts last week. Hodson also recorded his first shutout with St. John's stopping all 41 shot he faced in a 3-0 win over the Saint John Flames last Tuesday.
Sherwood/AHL Player of the Week
The St. John's Maple leafs have selected center Brad Boyes as the St. John's Maple Leafs Player of the Week for the period ending Sunday, February 16. Boyes recorded seven points (4G,3A), had 11 shots on net and was a plus four (+4) in four games last week. Boyes also received two first star selections. Last Wednesday Boyes scored a goal and added three assists in a 7-4 win over the Flames. It was his first professional four point game. On Friday, February 14, Boyes recorded his first ever professional hat trick in a 5-2 win at Syracuse.

9th Annual Wives Carnival
The 9th Annual St. John's Maple Leafs Charity Carnival is fast approaching. Last year's carnival raised over $30,000 for local charities. Join the Maple Leafs players, their wives and staff in games of chance and a day filled with interactive fun from 1-5 pm on Sunday, March 2.
