Aeros Goalie Merry-Go-Round Continues; Cloutier Rejoins Aeros, Brady Released

HOUSTON - Houston Aeros President and General Manager Dave Barr announced today goaltender Frederic Cloutier (kloo-chay) was reassigned to Houston from the Minnesota Wild (National Hockey League). Houston also released goaltender Peter Brady from his professional try-out contract.

Cloutier, 21 (5/14/81), is 4-1-1 with a 1.91 GAA, and a .925 save percentage in seven games for Houston this season. The 6-foot, 165-pound, second-year pro was recalled by the Wild on Friday and served in a backup capacity the past two games. The St-Honore, Quebec native was recalled by Houston from the Louisiana Ice Gators of the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL) on January 7 where he went 16-6-4 with one shutout, a 3.04 GAA and a .899 save percentage. During the 2001-02 season, he was named the ECHL's Most Valuable Player, Rookie of the Year, Goaltender of the Year, and was named to the All-ECHL First Team and All-Rookie Team. He led Louisiana with a 28-5-3 record, seven shutouts, a 1.84 GAA and a .945 save percentage.

Brady, 25 (10/25/77), is a first-year pro with the Austin Ice Bats (Central Hockey League). He has played 12 games with the Ice Bats and recorded 11 wins and one loss with 2.15 goals against average and a .931 save percentage. He served as backup for the Aeros in their two wins on Saturday and Sunday. The Cap-Rouge, Quebec-native played four seasons of collegiate hockey at the University of Alaska-Anchorage and the University of British Columbia.

Houston heads north to Manitoba to play the Moose on Wednesday and Friday. The Aeros then visit Chicago on Saturday before returning home to host the Grand Rapids Griffins on Sunday.
