Waterloo Black Hawks News Release
Aaron Rock made 33 saves in the Tri City Storm net Monday, shutting out the Waterloo Black Hawks 2-0 in Kearney, Nebraska.
Both Storm goals were put in on the power play. At 13:35 of the first period, Jordan Willert redirected Mario Lamoureux s shot through Matt DiGirolamo s pads with one second remaining on a man-advantage.
At 14:46 of the middle period, Troy Power completed the scoring, scooping in a rebound chance.
The game marked the first time the Black Hawks have been shutout this season.
The Hawks return home for a pair of divisional games against the Green Bay Gamblers on Friday and Saturday. It's a College Weekend; students with ID will be admitted for $5 each night. Friday the first 1,000 fans will receive player cards from Iwireless; Saturday, it's Black Hawk mini sticks to the first 1,000 courtesy of Casey's General Store.
