Columbus Sports Network To Broadcast Two Ohio Junior Blue Jackets Games

COLUMBUS, OHIO - Columbus Sports Network (CSN) will be airing two upcoming Ohio Junior Blue Jackets games, beginning with Tuesday night's contest between the Junior Blue Jackets and Indiana Ice from the Dispatch Ice Haus. The game will be televised tape delay at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday night and replayed Wednesday at 9:30 a.m.

Columbus Sports Network will also broadcast the March 19th match up between the Junior Blue Jackets and Chicago Steel. The game will be replayed the same night at 10:30 p.m. and at 9:30 a.m. on March 20. Play-by-play announcer Neil Sika and color analyst John Mowat will call the action for both games.

Tuesday night will mark the first time the Ohio Junior Blue Jackets of the United States Hockey League, the nation's premier development league for players 16-20 years old, will be carried on air. Columbus Sports Network will provide its broadcast live for use on the B2 Network and will enable the use of many features, including instant replays.

"Junior hockey is relatively new to the city of Columbus, and this will hopefully help further educate the market on what junior hockey is all about," said Gordy Haggard, marketing manager of youth and amateur hockey. "Sports fans will be able to see a large number of NCAA and NHL prospects play, including Columbus Blue Jackets prospect Will Weber when he comes to town with the Chicago Steel."

The Ohio Junior Blue Jackets will host the Indiana Ice Tuesday night at the Dispatch Ice Haus before playing on the road. The team will return to Columbus to host Sioux City Musketeers .
