Rochester Red Wings (7-7) GOOSE EGGS GALORE: The Red Wings were shut out for the first time since the first game of an August 15, 2011 doubleheader vs. Columbus, falling 2-0 in 7 innings...the Wings were last shut out in a 9-inning game July 24, 2011 at Indianapolis, losing 3-0 despite Scott Diamond's quality start of 2 runs in 6.1 innings...Rochester was shut out at Frontier Field for the first time since May 31, 2011, a 5-0 setback vs. Toledo.

SHORT AND NOT-SO SWEET: At one hour and 54 minutes, the Red Wings played their shortest 9-inning game since a 2-0 loss at Syracuse in one hour, 52 minutes on August 17, 2008...tonight's game was the shortest at Frontier Field since a one-hour, 52-minute contest July 5, 2001, when the Wings won 2-0 vs. Buffalo.

IT'S COLE OUTSIDE!: Cole DeVries worked 7.0 innings for the longest outing by a Red Wings starter this year. RUNS IN BUNCHES: With 7.0 innings of 2-run ball from Cole DeVries tonight, Red Wings starters have a 2.76 ERA (23 ER/75.0 IP).

FEEL SO CLOSE: Thirteen of the Red Wings' 14 games have been decided by 3 runs or less.
