Brandon Robinson scored once in regulation and again in the shootout to lead the Rangers to a 5-4 win over the Windsor Spitfires on Saturday night. Max Iafrate recorded a goal and a pair of assists in the victory, Kitchener's third straight.

Overage rearguard Max Iafrate put the Rangers on the board first, when his shot through traffic deflected off a player in front and past Brendan Johnstone. Captain Liam Maaskant and Darby Llewellyn picked up assists on the play.

The Spitfires led shots on goal 17-13 after 20 minutes.

Veteran Jamie Lewis put the Spitfires on the board six minutes into the second period, capitalizing on a power play opportunity. The overager jumped on the odd-man rush and picked up a pass from Hayden McCool, snapping it past Jake Paterson for his ninth of the year.

Lewis added his second of the game nine minutes later, this time collecting the puck from Trevor Murphy and pushing it past Paterson. Murphy's assist was his 20th point in his last ten games - the defenceman has set a new career benchmark with 49 points this season.

Rangers scoring leader Ryan MacInnis pulled the club even with less than three minutes to play in the period, lifting a shot high over Johnston's glove to pick up his second goal in as many games. Iafrate earned his second point of the night with an assist on the 4-on-3 power play marker. David Miller also recorded a helper on MacInnis' 11th of the season.

Kitchener out-shot Windsor 10-5 in the middle frame.

Brandon Robinson's fourth goal in as many games put the Rangers ahead 3-2 early in the final frame. The veteran winger capitalized on pressure at the net, and fired a shot past Johnston to record his 15th of the season. Iafrate earned his third point of the night with the assist on the goal at 1:49.

Anthony Stefano scored his eighth of the year on the power play, evening the score at 3-3. Lewis and Murphy earned the assists, their third and second points of the game, respectively.

The Spitfires jumped ahead 4-3 with less than eight minutes to play, when Lucas Venuto potted his six goal in as many games. Logan Brown picked up the lone assist on the overage forward's 15th of the season.

The lead was shortlived as Llewellyn responded for Kitchener less than a minute later, giving him two points on the night. The Ann Arbor, MI native's 11th of the year was assisted by Dmitrii Sergeev and Mason Kohn.

The score remained knotted at 4-4 through regulation, forcing the game to overtime. Kitchener led shots on goal 13-9 in the third and 36-31 after 60 minutes.

Neither team scored in the extra frame, sending the contest to a shootout.

Robinson scored the lone goal in the shootout, securing a 5-4 Rangers victory. Kitchener's third consecutive win improves their record to 19-14-12-6.
