WORCESTER, MA - (June 30, 2009) - Brockton Rox starter LHP Fraser Robinson delivered six shutout innings, and the Rox from the start, taking the first game of a six-game road trip in convincing fashion over the Worcester Tornadoes on Tuesday night.

Robinson recorded his second win of the year and his first since June 3rd in a dominant performance. He did not walk a batter and struck out five, while scattering six hits. He only allowed one runner beyond second base.

SS Dominic Ramos set the tone for the night with a leadoff triple on the very first pitch of the game. He scored two pitches later on an RBI ground out by CF Chris Valencia. The Rox roughed up Worcester starter RHP Matt Weagle who surrendered five runs on 10 hits in 5.1 innings just a week after shutting out the Rox over five innings in his previous start.

2B Melvin Falu drove in three runs, and LF Keith Brachold doubled three times and scored three times. The Rox recorded 13 hits as a team for the third consecutive game, and has outscored the opposition 26-4 in a three-game winning streak.

LHP Brad Hertzler and RHP Keith Noe recorded the final 12 outs of the game out of the bullpen for Brockton.

Worcester and Brockton take to Hanover Insurance Park again on Wednesday night with LHP Bryan Morse (0-0, 2.70 ERA) taking the hill for the Rox against Worcester's RHP Chris Farley (0-0, 4.50 ERA). Wednesday night's first pitch is scheduled for 7:05 PM.
