Robertson Cup Title Defense Begins Today

The Aberdeen Wings kick off their NAHL Robertson Cup National Championship Title Defense tonight at the NAHL Showcase in Blaine, MN. The Wings will face off against the Lone Star Brahmas at 5pm Central Time. The Wings will hit the ice with a very new look. Only 9 players return who spent time in Aberdeen last season. The Wings are looking to the "rooks" to provide some spark on offense and help sure up the defense. The Wings had a positive exhibition season with a weekend sweep of the Austin Bruins followed by a strong weekend vs. The Fargo Force of the USHL. The Wings will be playing 4 games in 4 days at the showcase before returning home for the home opening weekend, Championship Banner Unveiling and ring ceremony September 27th & 28th vs. the Austin Bruins.
