Corpus Christi Hooks News Release
CORPUS CHRISTI - Solo home runs by Tim Tawa and Wilderd Patiño were enough for a 2-1 Amarillo victory Thursday night at Whataburger Field.
Julio Robaina turned in his second quality start, spreading six hits over 6.1 innings, while striking out seven. The damage came on round trippers in the sixth and seventh.
Robaina boasts a 1.71 ERA, 0.91 WHIP and .188 batting average against in five outings this year, striking out 31 in 26.1 frames.
The Hooks were foiled Thursday by Dylan File, who allowed just five singles over seven innings.
Colin Price snapped a string of 12 consecutive outs by belting his first Double-A home run, a line drive that landed on the berm in left with two away in the ninth inning. Price, playing in his second game with the Hooks, went 2-for-4
Jacob DeLabio turned in an impressive performance out of the Corpus Christi pen, holding the Sod Poodles to one looping single over 2.2 shutout innings.
