Las Vegas, Nev. - The Las Vegas Wranglers(r) announced today that Rob Pallin ("Pa-LEEN") has been named the team's assistant coach for the 2011-12 season.
Pallin became head coach of the UNLV hockey club in 2006, and the team has had a 75-15 record over the past three seasons. "The ECHL is a league about player development and I'm thrilled to add my experience in helping this talented group get to the next level and, ultimately, a championship here in Vegas."
Before coaching, Pallin spent 15 years as a defenseman at both University of Minnesota - Duluth and Western Michigan University for two years each. After graduating, Pallin played across Europe for the next 10 years, spending one season each in France and Austria and eight in Germany.
The Wranglers host Opening Night, billed as "The Last Professional Hockey Game on Earth," on Friday, October 21st, 2011 at 7:05 PM against Ontario Reign. 2011-12 season seat packages are on sale now at (702) 471-PUCK.
