TRENTON, N.J. - The Trenton Titans announced a training camp roster that is headed by several key ECHL veterans and a group of talented younger players.

Among the veterans who will participate in their first Titans practice at 5:30 p.m. Saturday at Pro Skate in Monmouth Junction, are winger Randy Rowe, who actually scored his first professional goal as a Peoria player in Trenton in 2001-02, winger Matt Schepke, a 26-goal scorer at Charlotte in 2009-10, and goalie Dave Caruso, familiar with area fans for his steady play with the Trenton Devils the past three seasons.

Also looking to nail down a spot on head coach Vince Williams' front line is Blair Yaworski, a former Yale star who scored 32 goals over the last two years with Johnstown and Wheeling, and Dustin Cameron, who notched 12 goals and 14 assists in 2010-11 in action with Elmira and Gwinnett after a strong juniors career in the Western Hockey League, one of Canada's three Major junior circuits.

"What we are trying to do is build a team that has both talent and grit, one which is tough to play against,'' said Williams. "I'm excited for the start of training camp.''

On the backline, prospects Eric Baier, a former star at Providence College, who lived in Cranbury as a youngster and saw limited action with Reading and Portland (AHL) last season, and Chris Huxley, a former star at Harvard, will look to fit in.

The Titans will play two preseason games, meeting Elmira at 7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 7 at Pro Skate and visiting Reading at the Sovereign Center at 4:05 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 9. Training camp, with some practices at the Sun National Bank Center, will run through Oct. 13.

The team makes its regular-season ECHL return at Elmira Oct. 14, with its 2011-12 home-opener vs. Florida Oct. 22.

Season tickets are on sale by calling the Titans at 609-341-1100, or on-line at www.trentontitanshockey.com. Single-game tickets are available by calling our office, at the Sun National Bank Center box office or on-line via ComcastTix.
