SAN ANGELO, Texas - The Edinburg Roadrunners complete the double-header sweep of the San Angelo Colts by a final score of 7-3 at Foster Field on Saturday night.

The final score of game one of the double header was 5-4 in favor of Edinburg Roadrunners.

Edinburg (35-34) got the scoring started in the first inning when Tim Maitland and Travis Clark reached base. Each moved up a base on defensive miscues, but it was Tim Battle that provided the key hit, which scored Maitland and Clark that made 2-0 in favor of Edinburg.

San Angelo (34-34) responded with a run in the first inning when Steve Rinaudo reached on a double and moved to third on a wild pitch. Jon Dziomba struck out but Rinaudo scored to trim the deficit to 3-1.

The Roadrunners added a run in the fourth inning when Battle reached on a triple, and then a fielding error allowed Battle to score to make it 3-1.

Edinburg added to their lead in the fifth inning when Travis Clark launched a solo homerun, which was his second of the season to make it 4-1.

San Angelo trimmed the Roadrunner in the fifth inning when Jordan Marks hit a solo homerun, which was his sixth of the season to make it 4-2. Joseph Hicks added an RBI single to make it 4-3, as it would be as close as the Colts would be.
