Roadrunners First Responders Night Set for February 2

TUCSON, AZ - The Tucson Roadrunners, proud American Hockey League affiliate of the Arizona Coyotes, are proud to host First Responders Night presented by Sentinel Peak Brewing Company at Tucson Arena on February 2 when the team hosts the Colorado Eagles at 7:05 p.m.

The evening will begin with a Lights & Sirens pregame event at 5:00 p.m. in front of the Tucson Convention Center (Lot A), which will feature numerous cars, motorcycles, trucks, vehicles and additional items from the following associations:

Tucson Fire Department (TFD)

Tucson Police Department (TPD)

Marana Police Department (MPD)

Pima County Sherriff's Department (PCSD)

Pima County Joint Technological Education District (JTED)

The display will feature a SWAT Bear vehicle, EOD Robot, K9 units, as well as the opportunity for fans to take advantage of free fingerprinting services courtesy of the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP).

Prior to puck drop, Tucson Fire Pipes and Drums will lead a blended group from the Pima County Sherriff's Department, the Tucson Fire Department and the Tucson Police Department to the ice to present the nation's colors. Pima County Sherriff Mark Napier will be the ceremonial puck dropper for the evening and Tucson Police Chief Chris Magnus, as well as Fire Chief Joe Gulotta, will also be on hand and serve as celebrity Zamboni riders.

During the first intermission the Tucson Fire Department will faceoff against the Tucson Police Department on the ice in a head-to-head scrimmage.

All evening long the aforementioned organizations will be present on the Tucson Arena concourse, including a special table for therapy dogs from the Pima County Sherriff's Department. Pima County Sherriff's Department will also have McGruff the Crime Dog on hand.

Phoenix Roadrunners Night presented by iHeart Media

Saturday, February 2 is Phoenix Roadrunners Night presented by iHeartMedia at Tucson Arena! The team will wear limited edition Phoenix Roadrunners throwback jerseys that will be auctioned off after the game.

On-The-Ice

The 23-13-3-1 Tucson Roadrunners are once again led in points by second-year All-Star Kyle Capobianco following another assist from him in Saturday's contest against Bakersfield.

The third round selection (#63 overall) in the 2015 NHL Draft by the Arizona Coyotes also assisted the AHL's Western Conference to victory in the All-Star Skills Competition last night by picking up a win for his team in the Inglasco Puck Control Relay and scoring in the MGM Springfield Breakaway Relay.
