Manitoba Moose News Release
Wednesday, Jan. 23: Manitoba 1 at Grand Rapids 2 OT
Logan Shaw scored in the first period to open the scoring, but he was matched in the second frame by Wade Megan. Regulation solved nothing, setting the stage for Carter Camper to deliver the winning goal for Grand Rapids 3:37 into overtime.
Friday, Jan. 25: Manitoba 3 at Rockford 4 SO
Goals from Marko Dano, Sami Niku and Michael Spacek set up the Moose with a 3-1 lead into the late stages of the third period. Rockford came back with two goals in the final two minutes, including Jordan Schroeder's tying goal with three seconds remaining. Schroeder also scored one of two Rockford goals in the shootout as the IceHogs came away with the extra point.
Saturday, Jan. 26: Manitoba 2 at Milwaukee 8
Milwaukee scored four goals in the second period, and three in the third, on the way to an 8-2 win over the Moose. Chris Collins scored his second AHL goal and Logan Shaw tallied shorthanded to account for Manitoba's offence.

Hitting 30
Seth Griffith was the first Moose player to reach 30 points this season with an assist on Chris Collins' second period goal in Milwaukee on Saturday. The Wallaceburg, Ont. product is currently on a nine-game point streak, tallying 13 points (1G, 12A) during that span. Griffith was quickly matched by Logan Shaw, who scored his 18th goal of the season early in the third to reach the 30-point plateau for the first time in his AHL career.
All-Star Break
The Moose are currently on their all-star break, reconvening Thursday in Milwaukee ahead of Friday's matchup against the Admirals. While his teammates get in some time off, Logan Shaw is in Springfield for the 2019 Lexus AHL All-Star Classic presented by MGM Springfield. The veteran forward is making his first all-star appearance, and showed well in the AHL Skills Competition Sunday night, scoring on four of his five shots in the Rapid Fire event and tallying a goal in the Pass and Score event. Shaw suits up for the Central Division in tonight's AHL All-Star Challenge (6 p.m. CT, Sportsnet ONE/AHLTV), a three-on-three tournament between the league's four divisions.
Back and Forth
The Winnipeg Jets recalled defenceman Sami Niku Sunday, ending a two-game stint with the Moose. During his two outings, Niku pushed his AHL point streak to four games with five points (1G, 4A) during that run. Despite only playing 19 AHL games so far this season, the Haapavesi, Finland native is tied for second among Moose defenders with 12 points (3G, 9A). Niku has two assists in 10 NHL games with the Jets this season.
All Good Things Must Come to an End
Saturday's regulation loss to Milwaukee marked the end of a nine-game point streak for the Moose. With a record of 6-0-1-2, Manitoba held the longest consecutive run of points in the AHL when the streak ended. During the run, the Moose outscored opposition 31-19. In the final five games of the streak, the Moose played with the lead or were tied for 296:31 consecutive minutes. The power play scored at a 23.7 per cent (9/38) clip, while the penalty kill was successful 80 per cent (24/30) of the time.
Defenceman Cameron Schilling has been driving offensive production from the blue line with seven points (2G, 5A) in his past seven games. The Carmel, Ind. product posted a four-game point streak from Jan. 10-20, racking up five points (2G, 3A). During that stretch, Schilling missed two games while on recall with the Winnipeg Jets and posted two points (1G, 1A) in his return to the lineup. Schilling notched his third multi-point game (2A) of the season in Saturday's loss to Milwaukee.
