
Roadrunners Fall To Cats

FORT WORTH, Texas - the Fort Worth Cats completed the four game sweep of the Edinburg Roadrunners by a score of 9-4 on Sunday night at LaGrave Field.
Jose Canseco and Kobi Melo each had a double and drove in three runs to pace the offense for the Cats (4-0). Canseco doubled in the fourth inning, while Melo doubled in the sixth frame.
Jeff Sakowski (1-0) earned the win for the Cats going five innings without allowing a run, with a strikeout and no walks.
Bunyu Maeda had an RBI for the Roadrunners (0-4), which drove in Glen Johnson Jr. who reached on a single in the sixth inning. Johnson would score on an error in the same inning.
Makoto Ozone (0-1) took the loss for the Roadrunners lasting three and two-thirds innings allowing two earned runs while striking out three.
The Roadrunners will have Monday off, but will continue their eight game road trip on Tuesday against the San Angelo Colts at Foster Field with the first pitch set for 7:05 pm.
Roadrunners home opener is on Saturday, June 1st at 7:05 pm where it will be McAllen Family Urgent Care Schedule Magnet Night as they host the Fort Worth Cats at Edinburg Baseball Stadium.
