Game 1: Cats 3-Roadrunners 1

FORT WORTH, Texas - Cameron Monger went 1-2, helping the Fort Worth Cats (2-0) to a 3-1 victory over the Edinburg Roadrunners (0-2) on Saturday at LaGrave Field.

Eric Sheridan earned the win for the Fort Worth Cats. He allowed one run over four innings. Sheridan (1-0) struck out two, walked three and gave up three hits.

Glen Johnson Jr. drove in the lone run for the Roadrunners, which came in the fourth inning on a fielder's choice that scored Carlton Salters.

Drew Coffey (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just two innings, walked five, struck out two, and allowed two runs.

Boomer Potts earned the save, which was the first of the season holding the Roadrunners hitless over 1 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.

Game 2: Cats 8-Roadrunners 4

FORT WORTH, Texas - In the second game of the double header, the Fort Worth Cats (3-0) and the Edinburg Roadrunners (0-3) volleyed the lead four times on Saturday, but the Fort Worth Cats came out on top for a 8-4 win on Saturday at LaGrave Field.

The Fort Worth Cats pulled out the win thanks to a strong sixth inning. A fielder's choice scored Shelby Ford and gave the Fort Worth Cats the lead for good. Jose Canseco racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Fort Worth Cats. He homered in the third inning.

The Roadrunners scored their runs on an RBI fielder's choice by Trevor McDonald, a Daiki Komori hit by pitch, and a sacrifice by Bobby Rinard.

T.J. Bozeman (1-0) recorded his first win of the year for the Cats. He allowed one run over 1 2/3 innings. He struck out three, walked none and surrendered no hits.

Chris Treibt (0-1) took his first loss of the year lasting just one-third of an inning, walking three, struck out none, and allowed four runs.

The Cats and Roadrunners will wrap up the four game series in Fort Worth with the first pitch scheduled for 7:05 pm.

Roadrunners home opener is on Saturday, June 1st at 7:05 pm where it will be McAllen Family Urgent Care Schedule Magnet Night as they host the Fort Worth Cats at Edinburg Baseball Stadium.
