Road Warriors Owner to Receive Good Scout Award

Greenville, SC: The Greenville Road Warriors, proud ECHL affiliate of the New York Rangers, announced today that team owner Fred Festa has been chosen by the Blue Ridge Council of the Boy Scouts of America as their 2014 Patron Dinner Honoree.

"It's an honor to be part of this special event and to be a small part of the great work the Boy Scouts do for America's next generation of citizens and leaders," said Road Warriors Owner Fred Festa. " The partnership between the Scouts and the Road Warriors is a tremendous example of the strength and generosity of the Greenville community."

As this year's Blue Ridge Council honoree, Mr. Festa will deliver the event's keynote address. The Patron Dinner is the council's premier fundraising event and proceeds from the dinner benefit the Boy Scouts of America and the Blue Ridge Council.

The dinner will take place at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena Thursday, March 6 at 7:00 p.m. A general reception will precede the dinner at 6:30 p.m. The dinner will be held on the Warriors home ice and the evening will have a distinct Greenville Hockey theme. Road Warriors staff, coaches and players will also be on hand for the event.

Come out and celebrate True Blue Weekend presented by Piedmont Natural Gas. The Road Warriors will battle the Orlando Solar Bears in two games that will have playoff intensity! The Warriors want fans to BLEED BLUE! Fans who wear Warrior Blue to the March 7th or 8th games can receive $2 off of BLUE level tickets at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena Box Office. On Friday, March 7th the first 1000 fans will receive a Road Warriors Adult Cap presented by Fox Carolina and Rock 101. March 7th will also be highlighted by the ABC Party Rentals Warriors Fan Fest. The Fan Fest begins at 5:00 p.m. on the Plaza and will feature 2-for-1 beers, 3-for-$3 mini chicken cordon bleu, a free Kids' Zone and live entertainment from Rock 101. Saturday, March 8th is presented by BB&T. The first 1000 fans 12 and under will receive a Road Warriors Blue Youth Jersey courtesy of Fox Carolina and B93.7.
